Disputes

Arbitration, Mediation & Conciliation

These processes are used for commercial, technical, family, and international disputes where the parties adopt them.

The firm treats arbitration, mediation, and conciliation as effective ways for parties to settle disputes. Arbitration is described as particularly useful for large commercial disputes on building contracts, real estate, and highly technical matters, and for international commercial disputes involving a foreign entity or person.

The firm’s note records that the Mediation Centre established by the High Court of Madras gave mediation legal sanction from the courts. Personal and family disputes, matrimonial disputes, and smaller monetary claims are described as especially suited to mediation. The firm supports that process and uses it with the client’s consent.

The same note describes an Arbitration Centre in a portion of the law chambers, in the traditional business hub, offering infrastructure for arbitrations and conciliatory meetings at a nominal cost, and invites enquiries. This website publishes one confirmed chambers address — A002, SNR Silver Ripples, Sarjapur Main Road, Sompura, Bangalore-562125 — and does not add a separate address for the centre.

Nothing in this note promises that a dispute will settle, or that arbitration or mediation is available in every matter. Availability depends on the dispute, the parties’ consent, and the applicable law.
